This position will be located in Kansas City, MO


Provides a broad range of Human Resources (HR) services. In support of strategic objectives, consults with appropriate personnel as necessary to resolve diverse and complex business issues. This role is designed to partner and lead HR strategies for a division. The role will broker HR services and actively engage in staffing, organizational development, talent management, coaching and directing employee interaction and employee relations issues. This role will provide leadership of HR initiatives and will rely upon HR functional expertise and effectiveness to align HR principles with business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support for the business while partnering with cross-functional teams and leaders and leveraging HR functional expertise to support critical human resources objectives

  • Resolve complex issues related to the development and implementation of HR processes, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations

  • Provide information and orientation regarding HR programs and policies

  • Maintain visibility and accessibility to all employees on all shifts

  • May act as HR Division project leader on special projects/programs

  • Increase the overall performance of the organization by creating strong interactive partnerships with client groups

  • Build a workforce that creates a competitive advantage by recruiting, developing and retaining top talent

  • Drive continuous improvement and lead change in a premiere HR organization

  • Support a multi-function business of 200-400 employees or a large business function of 350-600 employees

  • Leads investigations and recommends actions

  • Investigates and participates in resolution of allegations of discrimination, sexual harassment and unfair treatment

  • Leads headcount needs, manages requisition and staffing process

  • Creates job offers

  • Creates environment that values diversity and inclusion

  • You Must Have:

  • Minimum of five years Human Resources experience in one or more Human Resources functions

  • Bachelor's degree required - prefer in an appropriate field such as human resources, organizational behavior, business administration and/or a Master's degree

    We Value:

  • Prior experience in a Human Resources Generalist role preferred. Experience in effective interpersonal skills including interviewing, counseling, and group presentations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to influence and work effectively with different levels of management as well as employees

  • Able to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a highly matrixed environment finding the correct balance between demand and capacity when establishing priorities for the organization

  • Working knowledge of government laws, regulations, and legal decisions affecting employment
