Job Summary
As part of BV Enterprise Evolution, you will have the opportunity to support the integration of the Enterprise Strategy with the BV Market Sectors, Regions, and all business units with P&L impact. Unlocking BV’s vision and strategy for sustainable, profitable growth by providing strategy development leadership, portfolio management and optimization, and business analytics support.
Job duties may include
Support the efforts of analyzing, reporting on and driving Black & Veatch’s sustainability performance.
Primarily focus on enhancing the quality and completeness of Black & Veatch’s ESG data to support regulatory compliance and reporting and business decisions to improve carbon, water, waste and nature impacts.
Work closely with a wide range of groups within the organization, including the Market Sectors, BV Operations, Global Real Estate, Human Resources, the CIO’s Office, Marketing and more, to gather data, develop recommendations and implement sustainability performance improvements.
Support development and implementation of vision and strategies on sustainability related projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Corporate Strategist in serving as primary interface point between Enterprise Strategy and business unit (Sector, Region, or other team); understand markets, clients, solutions, and key elements to validate strategies and to ensure completeness, achievability, and alignment.
Collaborate with business unit to support the development and refinement of business unit strategies that are consistent with and complimentary to BV’s Enterprise Strategies.
Work alongside business units and Enterprise Solutions functions to identify and help expand solutions that will be worked across all markets.
Identify valuable strategy and portfolio-related work/approaches/insights happening in one business unit and share them as opportunities with other business units.
Work with business unit to measure and report portfolio performance (Client Segment & Solution) and implementation or initiative progress.
Coordinate portfolio scoring detail feedback to/from business units.
Support the development of Strategy Review content expectations and support business unit in quarterly Review package development and communication preparation (as needed)
Contribute to the strategic planning and portfolio management core processes, tools and resources as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Current enrollment in accredited university in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field of study. No previous experience required.

Professionals located near a Black & Veatch office have the option of a hybrid work model that offers a balance between working together in person and the flexibility of remote work.
