The RN Supervisor of the Clinical Resource Team will assist the manager and supervisor with the daily operations of the department to include oversight of the Clinical Resource Team, Special Appeals Unit, and Clinical Administrative Coordinators. This includes department metrics, quality assurance as it relates to department functions, and ensuring that service level agreements are met. This position is responsible for providing clinical expertise in support of the team.

Assists the manager and supervisor with oversight, coaching and performance development of all supervisory staff
Participates in the interviewing, hiring and training of the Clinical Review and Appeal RNs, Special Appeals Unit (patient navigator), and Clinical Administrative Coordinators
Coordinates work activities of RNs and admin staff and ensure deadlines are met
Tracks and monitors department productivity and metrics
Develops plans to meet short-term objectives
Identifies and resolves clinical and operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgement
Assists with and develops process improvements within the department
Communicates and collaborates cross-functionally with department and program leaders
Monitors department policy and procedure adherence
Monitors clinical guidance to ensure we are meeting contractual requirements

Active, unrestricted RN license in your state of residence
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing/actively pursuing BSN, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline
1+ years of supervisory, or team lead experience
3 years of clinical review and appeals experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Experience problem solving in a fast-paced environment, multitasking, and meeting tight deadlines
Experience performing detailed work with high degree of accuracy
Knowledge of analyzing and reporting statistical data
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Analytical thinking skill

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $71,400 to $127,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
