Actalent Survey Technician in Overland Park, Kansas

Job Title: Survey TechnicianJob Description

An established civil engineering firm with multiple offices nationwide is seeking to expand its team in Kansas City. With a substantial backlog of projects and a continuous influx of new work, we are looking for a dedicated Survey Technician to join us immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Gather data for daily projects and learn how to fly UAV drones.

  • Perform various survey tasks in the field, including boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys, construction staking, bathymetric surveys, and aerial surveys.

  • Conduct various office tasks, such as survey calculations, research and preparation of CAD files, and review deeds and title work information.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience as a Survey Technician (field and/or office).

  • Experience and/or familiarity with CAD software.

  • Reliability and willingness to work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.

  • Availability to work overtime as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with land surveying, topography, AutoCAD, ALTA, topographic surveys, construction staking, and bathymetric surveys.

  • Qualifications such as land surveying, i-man, crew chief, party chief, and drone pilot.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00
