Nature of Work
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will assist in executing recruitment strategies and managing all stages of the recruitment process under the guidance of the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone in the early stages of their career with internship experience, looking to gain hands-on experience and grow in the field of talent acquisition. The role focuses on candidate sourcing, coordinating, and conducting interviews, and supporting the overall recruitment process to attract and engage with top talent.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Recruitment Support
- Assist the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner in managing open requisitions, sourcing candidates, and maintaining applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Post job openings on internal and external job boards and social media platforms.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring alignment with essential candidates and team availability.
Sourcing and Candidate Engagement
- Utilize job boards, LinkedIn, and other sourcing tools to identify potential candidates.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for nationally recruited positions.
- Engage with passive candidates through LinkedIn messaging, email campaigns, and networking events.
- Gain hands-on experience in full cycle recruiting under the guidance of the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner.
Candidate Experience
- Serve as a point of contact for candidates, providing timely updates and ensuring a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
Administrative and Reporting Tasks
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Track and report recruitment metrics such as sourcing effectiveness and time-to-fill.
- Assist in drafting and sending offer letters, conducting reference checks, and coordinating background checks.
Collaboration and Learning
- Work closely with the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to learn best practices in recruitment and sourcing strategies.
- Take part in team meetings to share hiring updates, discuss strategies, and propose ideas to enhance recruitment efficiency and boost candidate engagement.
- Contribute to projects related to employer branding and recruitment marketing.
- Attend career fairs and interact with prospective candidates to promote our employer brand.
- Support campus recruiting initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Basic knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with recruitment practices, screening techniques, and employment laws.
- Experience with social media recruiting or employer branding.
*Education and Experienc *
- Bachelor\'s degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent experience.
- Internship/prior work experience in Human Resources required.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Work is conducted in a standard office setting with a requirement to be on-site five days a week.
- This position is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be walking, standing, bending, or carrying items such as papers, books, small parts, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
- Minimal travel may be required for career fairs or recruitment events.
