Reports to:Service Advisor
The Mechanic/Marine Technicians responsibility is to perform the duties below on a regular basis and meet customer satisfaction standards as well as company sales and safety requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair marinized engines
- Repair propulsion components such as gear cases, stern drives, etc.
- Diagnose and repair carbureted and fuel injected intake systems
- Perform winterization and summarization of engines and boat systems
- Solid understanding of 12V and battery bank systems
- Operate diagnostic software
- Installations such as new engines, pumps and others as assigned
- Perform mechanical repairs on boat equipment including water systems, waste systems, steering systems, engine controls, etc.
- Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills and abilities
- Perform other duties as assigned or apparent
