JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for assembling and disassembling breakfast buffets, and ensuring that the buffet remains well-stocked at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Ensure that the breakfast buffet is fully set up each morning and that fresh items are always offered throughout service hours.
2. Wipe down service lines, beverage dispensers, and other equipment according to health and safety regulation.
3. Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
4. Maintain the breakfast area by cleaning tables, chairs, and buffet counter, and empty trash as needed
5. Remove plates and dishes from tables throughout the breakfast service using appropriate techniques for removing plates, glasses, and silverware promptly
6. Must have the ability to accurately forecast and prepare food order for upcoming week
7. Will also be responsible for cleaning and stocking public restrooms, fitness center, and meeting room.
8. Clean, mop, and vacuum entrance and hotel lobby.
9. Willingness to help in other departments of the hotel as needed.
10. Other duties assigned by Hotel Manager.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Educational/Experience: High School diploma/GED or equivalent or a combination of education and experience. Hotel, hospitality industry/food service or housekeeping experience preferred.
1. Ability to work as directed by your supervisor, which may result in being scheduled anytime during a 24 hour period, 365 days a year based on business demands.
2. Ability to think quickly when resolving problems.
3. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business demands.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management and guests.
5. Must be reliable, punctual and collaborative with co-workers and managers.
6. Maintain a professional demeanor in a high stress environment.
7. Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience
8. Must be able to push and lift weight up to 40lbs.
9. Ability to sit, walk or stand for prolonged periods of time as required performing the assigned duties of this position.
10. Must be able to use hands, fingers or feel; and reach with arms or hands to perform the assigned duties of this position.
11. Ability to read, write, and communicate using appropriate English standards of language.
12. Ascend/descend flights of stairs to access hotel work and break areas throughout work day.
