Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

A typical day in the position involves cycle counts, data entry, forklift driving, saw operation, working with computer systems, and ensuring efficiency. The #1 priority at all times is safety.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts

  • Perform cycle counting

  • Enter data accurately

  • Operate saws and other machinery

  • Maintain safety protocols

  • Utilize computer systems for inventory management

  • Handle materials efficiently

  • Read and interpret measurements using a ruler

Essential Skills

  • Forklift operation experience

  • Material handling skills

  • Computer knowledge

  • Math and reading skills

  • Experience with cycle counting

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • RF scan experience

  • Inventory control

  • Picking and packing

  • Production experience

  • Carpentry and framing skills

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools

  • Tape measure usage

  • Finish carpentry

  • Shipping and receiving

  • Blueprint reading

  • Experience with construction and water jet machines

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum of 1+ years of warehouse and production experience in a metals or manufacturing-related facility

Work Environment

The position is in a production facility with a warehouse environment, emphasizing high production numbers and efficiencies. The facility has approximately 150-160 full-time employees. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, steel-toed shoes, and PPE provided by the client. Shifts are as follows: 1st shift: 6am-2pm, 2nd shift: 2pm-10pm, 3rd shift: 10pm-6am. Employees are required to work 7 days a week for at least the next 3 months, with one Sunday off every 21 working shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Park City, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20/hr.
