JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for maintaining close, continuous surveillance of all gaming areas and the entire property, in order to protect life, assets and the property.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Monitors all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity for proper resolution.
  • Protects company assets and gaming integrity through the consistent and thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor.
  • Utilizes necessary equipment to identify, record, document and report illegal, suspicious or unusual activities occurring on property.
  • Coordinates with the Security Department when an incident or event requires further investigation or attention.
  • Facilitates the flow of information, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Make suggestions and recommendations, as appropriate, with regard to possible changes in the policies and procedures of other departments, with the protection of company assets in mind.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property.
  • Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Companys internal controls, policies, and procedure.
  • Supports other Employees, Supervisors and Executives within the company, with regard to protection of assets in their respective departments.
  • Facilitates the flow of information, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma or GED, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with closed circuit television equipment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with computers and typing is required.
  • Must possess excellent observational and communication skills.
  • Must be able to detect any schemes or cheating activity aimed at the company or its customers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written, typed or diagram form.
  • Must be able to enter data, read and interpret output from computer.
  • Basic math skills including the ability to add and subtract.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business demands.

LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Ability to prepare, read, and interpret documents; write reports and correspondence; and speak and communicate effectively with individuals and before groups of people.
  • Ability to compose grammatically correct documents.
  • Ability to verbally communicate using appropriate English standards of language.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.

LICENSING

Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, State, Federal and/or Wyandotte Nation law.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

1. Abi ity to sit for entirety of shift, taking breaks only as business allows.

2. Ability to manipulate manual camera control devices.

3. Work in low lit area.

4. Ability to focus on monitors for entire shift.

5. Ability to stand and use fingers throughout an eight-hour shift.

6. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 35lbs in emergency situations.

7. Ability to function in a smoking environment.

8. Employee smoking is restricted to outside location and during break times.

9. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

10. The noise levels in the work environment are constant.

11. Ascend/descend flights of stairs to access office and break areas throughout work day.

12. Efficiently function in an environment with blinking/blinding lights.
