Academic Advisor
The Academic Advisor Specialist will provide academic advising, career and occupational planning, and retention services to current and potential students. They will assist students in areas of need, enroll in classes, complete degree checks, and focus on goal setting. The Advisor makes referrals to various resources for tutoring, counseling and financial assistance.
Required qualifications include: Bachelors degree, skills in communication, organization, leadership, and computer software. Must have the ability to relate to traditional and nontraditional students, the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, and a strong knowledge base in career and occupational information.
Flexible work schedule with main working hours Monday to Thursday. Excellent benefits such as vacation, sick leave, paid LCC tuition for employee and dependents, Kansas Public Employment Retirement System (KPERS), KPERS 457, 403B with matching plan, and the State Plan of Kansas insurances that includes medical, dental, and vision for employee and family. Supplemental insurances are also offered.Salary range of \$31,000 to \$35,000.
