Job Summary
Provide project and engineering assistance
Assist in establishing operational methods and work standards using various measurement techniques
Assist with investigations on suspect non-conforming parts utilizing engineering methods
Analyze existing operations and propose cost-justified improvements
Optimize use of floor space, materials, personnel, and equipment
Complete tasks associated with EHS, Quality & efficiency projects
Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record-keeping systems
Adhere to policies and procedures
Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area
Perform other assignments as required
Required Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processes together with work measurement and work standards
Proficient in technical writing, with good documentation skills; attention to detail is critical
Required: able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Prior experience with an AS9100 is a plus
Demonstrated analytical expertise including ability to plan, resolve problems effectively, and establish priorities
Working knowledge of computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project

Required Experience and Education
H.S. Diploma or GED
Associates degree is preferred
2 or more years experience in engineering functions consistent with the specific position requirements
Work Environment
Must have good finger dexterity – computer data entry
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
Must be able to communicate effectively
Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
Must be able to occasionally move and/or lift from 1 – 50 pounds
Working conditions are:75% office environment, 25% manufacturing environment
Noise level is moderate in office environment
Frequently works near moving mechanical parts
Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold and extreme heat
Hearing protection must be worn in designated manufacturing areas
Fully enclosed shoes, leather construction, must be worn in all manufacturing areas
Safety glasses (ANSI Z87 compliant) required in all manufacturing areas
General hazardous waste work clause- Employee is responsible for placing hazardous waste in the proper container, ensuring the containers are kept closed when not in use, and report any spills immediately
