SUMMARY:This position is primarily responsible for providing athletic training services to local athletes in a variety of settings. In doing so, the trainer collaborates with local medical and school personnel to optimize athlete wellness. The trainer facilitates injury prevention as well as recovery for area athletes in accordance with the Kansas state athletic training practice act. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating community/ school/ workplace wellness endeavors within or outside of the Center of Rehabilitation Excellence (C.O.R.E.). Reports to the Rehabilitation Services Director and or Sports Medicine Medical Director. This position requires responsibility for attending local sports events and providing basic trainer services at those events.
