Summary:The Distribution Manager manages the daily activities of the materials department with a focus on customer service, improving processes and proactively managing resources through utilization of the hospital materials management information system, contracted supplies and the lean principles. Monitors inventory levels to manage expenses, minimum losses and maximize revenue. Coordinates, evaluations of services, products and contract negotiations, manages relations with vendors. Performs statistical analysis to drive decision-making and implementing department goals to meet the organizational strategic initiative.
Materials has the responsibility for processing the ordering of supplies (stock and non-stock), specialty supplies, and equipment for the Storerooms. The position works as a liaison between the Department leadership and the Materials Management Department. The position must be able to prioritize, multi task, and handle any other duties assigned by the Director.
Education Requirements:A minimum of 3 year of healthcare supply chain knowledge, healthcare supply chain distribution management skills and supervisory experience. With proficiency in excel, word and automated inventory system. Must have effective analytical ability and be detail oriented. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, good people management and team building skills.
