This job was posted by https://www.kansasworks.com : For more information, please see: https://www.kansasworks.com/jobs/12818377 Position Summary: The Welder works with minimal instruction to perform a variety of welding processes and methods to weld all types of metals and alloys of various shapes, sizes, and thicknesses as needed for projects.
Welder Duties and Responsibilities:
Use a variety of welding processes and methods to weld all types of metals to perform complete part fabrication in compliance with company quality standards.
Complete fit-up of accessories and tanks.
Welds in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions.
Identify various metals and alloys such as mild steel, aluminum, and stainless.
Use measuring devices and gauges to determine thickness and size of metal.
Use an oxygen/acetylene torch for cutting metals.
Use a grinder and other hand or power tools required to grind, bevel, or fit metals together, and removed slag.
Read and follow blueprints to determine structure or fit of parts that are being welded and are in compliance with the Method of Production Standard.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
Knowledge of MOP and SWI.
May perform other duties as assigned.
