$13.00 per hour starting pay
- Up to $3.00 more per hour for 4:00pm to 12:00am and 12:00am to 8:00am shifts
Candidates will select a career path at the end of 5 days of training.
Packer Job Duties:
Prepare packaging for the finished product
Inspect product utilizing bag checks
Document product inspections and report concerns to supervisor or operator.
Remove finished product from the production line and package neatly in boxes.
Weigh finished case and record accurate weights using the upper control limits (UCL), target, and lower control limits (LCL).
Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. (Lifting requirements up to and including 30 lbs) (frequently).
8 hour days/5 days a week
Fixed days off.
Operator Job Duties:
Perform quality bag checks and know how to alert someone to assist in making adjustments if necessary.
Able to read production sheets/schedule and make adjustments as necessary on assigned lines.
Able to make boxes if required, finish in a timely manner and keep the production line properly supplied.
Able to keep color meters filled with the proper material and empties color meter properly when changing colors.
Stacks finished goods properly on pallets, places proper protective wrapping for storage, and completes pallet tag before sending to the finished good staging area.
Ability to exert muscle to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. (Lifting requirements up to and including 50 lbs) (frequently). Must be able to balance rolls of plastic up to 300 lbs.
Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, or legs. Must be able to reach and lift up to 50 lbs above shoulders (frequently) reach above the head (occasionally), stooping (occasionally), twisting (occasionally), and bending at the waist (occasionally).
8 hour days/5 days a week
Rotating days off. Days off rotate each month.
Production and Processing - Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing our return on investment.
Mechanical - Knowledge of machines that are used in the production process. Must be aware and abide by all safety operations of equipment.
Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Quality Control - Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Instructing - Teaching others how to do something.
Time Management - Managing one's own time and staying busy when there is down time.
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
