Inteplast Group PTPB- Purchasing Coordinator in PITTSBURG, Kansas

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Primary Buyer for production items such as boxes, color, print plates, labels, tape, stretch film, pallets, etc.

  • Buyer support for the maintenance department.

  • Update and maintain production resource rates.

  • Be a point of contact and lead Buyer for production items using the inventory system.

  • Review Purchase Orders and close.

  • Maintain/establish buyer/vendor relations with multiple suppliers.

  • Review purchase requisitions and negotiate pricing with suppliers to minimize costs.

  • Review purchase requisitions for proper cost center, account coding, and approval signatures.

  • Organize and maintain copies of purchase requisitions for all locations to provide to accounting if needed.

  • Primary Buyer for all maintenance department purchase requisitions for all production locations.

  • Primary Buyer for expense items such as operator tools, quality expense items, safety supplies, office supplies, etc.

  • Primary Buyer for outsourced finish goods.

  • Enter new items and maintain existing items, routings, bill of materials, formulas, and pack codes for all of the production locations.

  • Update and maintain production-specific instructions for an item.

  • Set up and maintain artwork numbers.

  • Update periodically item status, type, and planning method per direction from Supply Chain and Inventory Manager.

  • Accountable for the Bill of Materials, Routings, Customer Cross Reference, Unit of Measure Conversions, issuing PO's, Item Master set-up.

  • At the request of the Planner, adjust safety stock levels and other item attributes, by item or group of items.

Preferred Experience

2+ years of experience required in the area of purchasing/supply chain

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education

College degree preferred but, not required.
