POSITION SUMMARY\ The Surveillance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of surveillance activities to ensure that casino patrons are not engaged in illegal activities, that soft and hard count operations are conducted in accordance with accordance with Internal Control Policies and Procedures and state regulations, and established departmental policies and procedures for the casino are reviewed and adhered to.\ \ GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES\ The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.\ \ 1.Assist in hiring, retaining, motivating, evaluating and managing surveillance Team Members, ensuring Team Members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.\ \ 2.Enforce department standards, guidelines and objectives and maintains other administrative processes.\ \ 3.Assist in budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.\ \ 4.Assist in review strengths and weaknesses of policies and procedures in order to most effectively implement changes to improve operations and most efficiently allocate resources.\ \ 5.Ensure a safe and secure atmosphere/environment for guests and Team Members.\ \ 6.Research, evaluate, and test surveillance technology in order to develop most appropriate system to achieve security and maintain cost efficiency.\ \ \ 7.Coordinate surveillance investigation efforts with outside law enforcement agencies to assure proper handling of civil violations of patrons or Team Members; may occasionally appear in court with company attorneys to assist in criminal justice proceedings.\ \ 8.Implement and monitor emergency procedures to ensure prompt and safe handling of such emergencies as fire, flood, or bomb threats.\ \ 9.Work with operating departments to design and conduct highly sensitive investigations to facilitate fact finding and probe into potentially illegal or inappropriate activities.\ \ 10.Conduct himself/herself in a professional, courteous and responsive manner, which reflects positively on company.\ \ 11.Endeavor to prevent and/or apprehend person engaged in cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal activity.\ \ 12.Notify department leaders, and where appropriate applicable gamin regulatory agencies, upon detection of illegal activities.\ \ 13.Identify and understand cheating techniques in gaming and soft count.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES\ In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:\ \ Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.\ Obtain required license(s).\ Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.\ Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.\ Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Members department.\ Have knowledge of the Propertys programs to address problem gambling.\ Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls.\ Takes the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management\ Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member that they have knowledge of.
