Summary:
The Telecom Fiber Optic Technician is responsible for fiber optic splicing and maintenance and installation of customer services on our OSP network. This position will be working directly with our Boring crews to complete the project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Telecom Fiber Optic Tech:
- Travel Frequent travel across the entire service territory for installation inspection and subscriber and landowner issues when needed.
- Substance Abuse Testing - Must pass all random mandatory testing.
- This position requires the ability to operate company vehicles safely.
- Must have general PC abilities including Microsoft Office and tablet operating skills. Must be able to operate and navigate electronic maps.
- Field or office working conditions and required to work in all types of weather.
- Some irregular hours and travel may be required.
- Heavy lifting and strenuous tasks required.
- Pay may vary based on experience
