- Provide supervision and strategic direction to the CHC/SEK fleet management and transportation program, and related staff and assets.
- Lead efforts to provide Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) in identified service areas, track reimbursement, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Responsible for CHC/SEK fleet management oversight including vehicle procurement, maintenance, and retirement.
- Collaborate on grant efforts, including but not limited to KDOT 5310/5311, and ensure program compliance with grant and other funding requirements.
- Coordinate, implement, and ensure compliance with vehicle safety programs, and ongoing driver education such as defensive driving courses, etc. in accordance with all program requirements.
- Coordinate and review the work plan for transportation services and activities; monitor work flow; review and evaluate workflows, methods, and procedures; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems.
- Serve as, or delegate as needed, the primary dispatch operator for all coordinated transportation activities.
- Maintain and monitor data management and dispatching system to organize fleet per necessary schedules and requests.
- Plan, organize, and implement transportation related projects and programs to further the mission of CHC/SEK and advance community health indicators.
- Ensures daily safety inspections of vehicles are being completed by drivers or delegated staff.
- Supervise staff preparation for audits/inspections conducted by federal and state audit officials.
- Motivate and train team members to ensure high safety standards, quality customer service, and the achievement of performance goals.
- Ensure routine maintenance is conducted according to vehicle and industry standards as to maintenance type and frequency.
- Establish and recommend methods for providing transportation services including overseeing and reviewing timeliness and schedules; identify internal resource and community needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly.
- Ensure that all vehicles and drivers comply with DOT regulations.
- Review complaints from customers regarding transit operations; resolve problems in a timely and effective manner to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Assist with driving responsibilities during peak times, as needed.
- Ensure ADA accessibility compliance.
- Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay well-informed of new transit operation trends and innovations, and community needs.
- Establish and grow community partnerships, work with local units of government, and participate in coordinated transit district meetings to identify community needs and to inform program goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor\'s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or related field or equivalent experience required.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in transportation management or closely related work.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Basic Life Support either upon hire or within six (6) months from date of hire.
- Thorough knowledge of federal rules and regulations related to public transit systems.
- Thorough knowledge of reporting requirements for publicly funded transit systems.
- Strong knowledge of public transit software applications and systems.
- Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, prioritize, assign, and evalua te the work of the transportation team.
- Ability to gather and assess system data to identify trends, service gaps, and opportunities.
- Working knowledge of transportation scheduling, fleet management, maintenance and vehicle repair.
- Other required training must be completed within six (6) months from date of hire and on an annual basis. Training includes, but is not limited to CTAA Pass Basic, Defensive Driving and Wheelchair Securement.

Communicates through appropriate channels. Use proper chain of command for patient complaints.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
