Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all production and support equipment in our facility. This role requires a strong knowledge of plant maintenance operations and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This position offers a 2nd or 3rd shift schedule from 5pm to 3:30am, with work required every Wednesday and every other weekend off.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair all production equipment including pumps, pasteurizers, homogenizers, atomizers, evaporators, dryers, churns, valves, and baggers.

  • Maintain and repair all support equipment such as boilers, air-compressors, ammonia compressors, thermal storage units, condensers, vacuum pumps, ammonia systems, air conditioning units, sewer meters, conductivity meters, and water meters.

  • Handle chemicals for support equipment operation and perform chemical testing of boiler feed water, condensate, cooling tower water, ice bank chilled water, and plant process water.

  • Perform daily utilities readings.

  • Fabricate and manufacture equipment for production needs, including product and process piping, sanitary equipment, steam lines, chemical lines, and pneumatic lines.

  • Document all schematic and diagram changes to keep plant records current.

  • Work with minimal supervision and ensure all work orders and activity reports are completed daily.

  • Ensure all work is done in a timely manner and to a high standard.

  • Collaborate effectively with employees throughout the plant.

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

  • Follow all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Welding experience is a plus.

  • Experience in the dairy industry is preferred.

Work Environment

This position involves working on a 2nd or 3rd shift schedule from 5pm to 3:30am, with work required every Wednesday and every other weekend off. The work environment includes handling chemicals, working with various types of equipment, and adhering to safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pixley, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.55 - $35.55/hr.
