Compliance Specialist – SPC Wind Sites
The Compliance Specialist is expected to reside in the Central US (Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas) and to travel to wind sites throughout the United States. The Compliance Specialist maintains knowledge of current environmental health and safety (EHS) laws and regulations as they apply to SPC Wind Sites and uses that knowledge to ensure compliance with permits, programs, and policies. Interfaces with regulatory agencies and assists with regulatory inspections. Recognizes compliance issues that require attention and addresses them appropriately. Has a proficient knowledge of site compliance programs, contractor compliance, and safety, and assists in ensuring all programs are met.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
In-depth knowledge of current EHS laws and regulations as they apply to wind sites is preferred. Knowledge of ERCOT and PUCT is preferred.
Knowledge of power generation operations, wind site experience preferred.
Proficient use of computer applications and maintenance planning systems such as Maximo.

Overnight travel will be required, up to 25% of the time.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting Compliance Team Leader in ensuring compliance with permits, programs and policies, and assists with revising programs and policies.
Interfacing with contractors and regulatory agencies and assisting with contractor compliance and agency visits.
Interfacing with employees through training, assistance, and participation in routine site assessments.
Assists with the training of employees in compliance-related programs and issues.
Assists with documentation and tracking of compliance-related tasks in Maximo and other systems.
Participation in system ownership responsibilities.
