Job Position

Positions will be fully remote with some desired workplace flexibility. Must be willing to travel to the local office for business meetings and training if within reasonable driving distance.

Trains to actively and aggressively evaluate and approve incoming subrogation demands. Reviews the Subro demand to ensure compliance and company policy, Applicable law and accurate payment is issued once the proper documentation is presented and verified. Asist Subrogation Unit by separating damages and providing accurate estimate of damages.

Position Responsibilities:

· Reviews claimant carrier’s subrogation demands including repair appraisals/estimates for quality and accuracy.

· Adjusts/corrects them as needed or takes necessary steps to have the carrier revise the estimate, provides required additional documentation, or recommends further clarification of damages from the carrier.

· Informs the handling file adjuster and manager of any changes to the MD subrogation demand and documents the claim file with the reason for the adjustment.

· Trains to review and evaluate assigned claim files for subrogation or collection potential.

· Learns investigation routines for handling of assignments.

· Maintains an active diary, works each assigned file on a regular basis.

· Recommends action plan for each file.

· Closes cases when appropriate with supervisor approval.

· Negotiates settlements with adverse parties and attorneys on a fair and equitable basis with all parties involved.

· Monitors claims to ensure subrogation funds were received as agreed upon and/or properly processed and recorded in the claims system.

· Processes payments in an accurate and timely manner.

· Negotiates with claimant carrier on excessive repair times/costs and reaches an adjusted agreement on the exception(s) found.

Position Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years automobile claim handling experience including the ability to evaluate the accuracy of auto appraisals.

· Must have good computer skills and the ability to enter notes and produce letters and reports in a professional manner.

· Above average organizational and negotiation skills.

· Must have good written and verbal communication and math skills.

· Must have the ability to deal with conflict in a professional manner.

· Must successfully complete Basic Claims Class in order to remain in position.

· Must obtain and maintain required licensing as required by assigned state(s).

· Must have the ability to deal with irate or difficult individuals in an effective, tactful, professional manner in order to persuade people accept payment from the company.

· Must work effectively amid constant interruptions and shifting priorities.

· Long periods of telephone contact daily.

· Must be willing/have the ability to work varying schedules including weekends and evenings (up to 8:00 PM) based on company need.

· Schedule may change as company needs change.
