Quality Assurance Lead Person - 1st Shift - Salina, KS
Great Plains Manufacturing is currently seeking a 1st shift Quality Assurance Lead Person to join our team at our Construction Equipment (CE) facility in Salina, KS.
This position works Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervision of all quality assurance functions for the CE facility
- Supervision of plant QA personnel
- Develop and implement Great Plains QA programs and initiatives
- Identify defective parts in each department and facilitate the rework process
- Assist in troubleshooting defect causes
- Actively assist in LEAN by developing error proofing processes
- Encourage communication between all departments/employees regarding the quality of our product
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and understand Engineering Prints
- Previous Quality Assurance and supervisory experience helpful
- Knowledge of CE products and manufacturing processes preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use Precision Measuring tools
- Ability to thrive in fast paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Windows, AS 400, IBMI, CRM, Windchill, and other GPM Computer systems
