Army National Guard Units SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in Salina, Kansas

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D1194000 and is part of the KS 235th Regiment, HAYS, KS, Kansas Army National Guard. Responsibilities As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-07, you will be responsible to provide technical guidance to subordinate units, the headquarters logistics section, or other staff sections concerning logistics and maintenance management. May provide supervision and guidance to full time personnel in the logistics section of the organizational headquarters. Schedules and provides proficiency training for logistical personnel within the command. Plans and provides guidance for the implementation of current and future equipment authorization documents. Performs oversight and random reviews of subordinate unit expendable/durable requisitions. Conducts reviews for requirement validity and availability of funds in accordance with regulation and the commander's priorities. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: This position works on a 4/10's compressed work schedule with four 10-hour days, Tuesday-Friday each week of the pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Military Grades: E1- E5 Compatible Military Assignments: immaterial GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. Physical Demands: -- Work requires some physical exertion such as recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or lifting. These demands occur, for example, when loading and unloading military vehicles, inventories, inspections, and receipt, issue and turn-in of ammunition and residue.
