Located in Suburban Kansas City, AdventHealth is a three-hospital system searching for a highly skilled fellowship trained medical oncologist, to join our dedicated team of experts.
3 years of experience post fellowship is ideal, however highly qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology are required.
A strong interest in urology and/or malignant hematology is desired.
Guaranteed initial base salary with a wRVU production component.

OUR CANCER CENTER:
The Cancer Center at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission opened in 2014 and for 6 years a certified member of MD Anderson Cancer Network®, a program of MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Kansas City. Our Cancer Center quickly gained a reputation for exceptional care in the Kansas City Metro. As the next step in our mission to support the needs of our community, construction is currently underway on our new 71,000 sq ft., three story, state of the art Cancer Institute that will triple the size of the current Cancer Center and is expected to open in July 2024. The center is patient focused and will include an on-site laboratory, clinical trials, MRI linear accelerator, HDR Suite, amongst other state of the art patient care capabilities.
Our multidisciplinary team works closely with our dedicated surgeons, pathologists, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, and other dedicated Oncology staff. This collaboration allows for following best practice and delivering quality care to our patients. There are weekly multidisciplinary tumor conferences and AH providers have direct access to MD Anderson providers for complex consultations and patients requesting 2 nd opinions through our Products and Services agreement.
Today, our team consists of Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology, Gynecologic-Oncology Surgeons, Fellowship trained Surgeons, and other specialists all working together to create an individualized treatment plan for each patient. The current Cancer program has on-site radiation therapy, including a market leading HDR program, a 16-chair infusion center, PET/CT, and a full complement of support services. We are CoC and NAPBC accredited.
