Work Hours/Shifts

Full Time, Days

You Will Be Responsible For:


  • Supervises daily operations and provides technical supervision of staff in neurodiagnostics to assure effective and efficient provision of quality diagnostic procedures following the established protocols

  • Assists in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified staff

  • Trains and orients new employees

  • Assists in evaluations, job competency, and educational development and assessments

  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department

  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Ensures the safety of patients, employees, and visitors

  • Conducts routine safety and environment of care checks

  • Adheres to hospital infection control and safety standards


  • Actively supports and participates in department and hospital quality improvement initiatives. Participates in process and performance improvement

  • Proactively recommends and implements process improvement initiatives

  • Conducts quality diagnostic studies on patients ranging from newborn to geriatrics

  • Develops and measures staff competencies, productivity standards, and quality assurance standards

  • Ensures charges are entered accurately to capture services performed


  • Meets regularly with manager, actively participates on assigned teams, shares information with staff, assists with staff meetings, and attends other meetings as requested

  • Communicates and collaborates with multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality patient care


  • Develops and participates in employee engagement and patient satisfaction initiatives. Utilizes patient recovery resources when appropriate

  • Maintains a professional relationship with all customers. Maintains the confidentiality of employees, patients, administration, and medical staff


  • Refuses to participate in unethical procedures and assumes the responsibility of informing the appropriate authority of noted incompetence or unethical behavior


  • Plans and manages time appropriately

  • Is sensitive to cost containment measures by conserving hospital supplies, equipment, and human resources

  • Ensures appropriate par levels of supplies are maintained to maximize operational efficiencies

  • Monitors overtime, call time absenteeism, tardiness, and time and attendance daily. Assists manager in developing and managing staff schedules


  • Maintains continued professional growth, participates in on-going educational seminars or in-service programs

  • Assess educational needs and develops educational plan to provide on-going training opportunities for team members

  • Completes required hospital and licensure educational requirements


What will you need?

  • Associates degree required

  • 5+ years of position related year of experience

  • BLS through American Heart Association

Job Summary

The Neurodiagnostics Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily technical operations of the department. Provides professional and technical support to staff, physicians, and partners to ensure efficient daily departmental operations. Develops and measures staff competencies, productivity standards, and quality assurance standards. Assures compliance with applicable departmental, hospital, and regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines. Analyzes workloads/workflows and assigns staff to meet demand and improve operational efficiency. Performs procedures, as needed. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with stakeholders, such as physicians, hospital staff, and commercial agencies. Meets with customers, partners, and team members to assure service levels are maintained. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Plan and to rules and regulations of applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
