Schedule: Full-Time Days, 40 hours/week

Shift :

  • 8:00am-4:30pm M-F

  • This position will office out of AdventHealth Shawnee Mission but support the region (AHSM, AHSOP, AHOTT, AHLCC and also AHMG locations)

  • There is the potential for periodic remote work

The role you’ll contribute:

The Videographer role is designed to deliver comprehensive pre- through post-production services for our Kansas AdventHealth hospitals. Position should be able to easily accomplish all facets of high-end content production including: script writing, camera work, audio capture, talent relations and great story telling through skillful editing. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Works with department leadership to create productions that promote organization initiatives.

· Plans, shoots and edits projects with complete responsibility for quality and on-time delivery.

· May serve as crew on projects headed by other internal or external crews and producers.

· Must deliver high-quality lighting, filming, camera work, physical or digital effects, production editing and storytelling, using audio technology as appropriate.

· Responsible for the timely and safe archival of all productions.

· Continually pursues new techniques and production trends that elevate the production value created by the employee and the team.

· Deliver media-ready news packages to local and national media outlets.

· Professionally participate as crew in live production environments.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

· Strong production skills including lighting, audio and camera work

· Strong understanding of leading video and image editing software packages

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to complete precise tasks

· Knowledge of HD production and post production workflows

· Ability to lead and positively support the production crew

· Skilled storyteller; editing for emotion, expertise, brevity and/or clarity

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

· Avid, Final Cut, Premiere, Photoshop and Illustrator

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Associate's degree in relevant field of study (i.e. creative media, media production, or journalism field) and 1 year of related experience, or

· 3 years of production related experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

· 4-year degree in related creative media, media production or journalism field, or

· 4 years experience in media production or related field

· Completion of advanced camera or editing training

· Previous experience working on a video set
