Job Title: Assistant Field Engineer
Job Description
Established engineering firm with multiple offices across Kansas is seeking to train an entry-level civil engineering graduate. The role involves assisting with the collection and analysis of soil, rock, and other earth materials to determine variations in different landscapes and evidence of pollution or climate change. The ideal candidate will have Civil EIT certification. Your job duties include gathering samples from test sites, logging samples accurately, confirming drilling locations are accurate, coordinating with utility services, analyzing data produced from environmental testing, and creating reports of your findings. Most of the work will be done locally in Overland Park, KS. You'll be working on a variety of projects ranging from the construction of small coffee shops, large commercial parking lots, logistic centers, sports fields, school additions, and highway expansions. You will be paid for overtime, with 75% field work during the spring and summer months averaging 50-60 hour work weeks. Attention to detail is the highest priority.
