Parts Room Attendant
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining inventory in inventory tracking system, performing usage analysis, keeping parts room clean and orderly, dispensing parts and tools to maintenance personnel as needed, identifying and monitoring parts flow by parts numbers, receiving all maintenance parts, signing vendor tickets, delivering parts to maintenance personnel for particular job, stocking inventory in parts room and printing documentation on inventory replenishment; other duties as assigned.
Daily Duties:
- Monitor East/North doors for intercom traffic. (Daily)
- Check in/out visitors, drivers, contractors in log. (Daily)
- Monitor Maintenance gate during selected times.
- Prepare small packages & freight for shipments, up to 60lbs.
- Stock production supplies, transfer from upstairs, up to 60lbs.
- Sweep storeroom/dock thoroughly. (Monthly)
- Inventory Maintenance supplies, up to 60lbs.
- Inventory Maintenance supplies, up to 60lbs, PJ/PIT Operation.
- Inventory production supplies, fittings, ETC. spreadsheet.
- Sweep stairwell, upstairs thoroughly. (Monthly)
- Record parts used on checkout sheet (Daily)
- Receive parts in SAP(Daily), PJ/PIT Operation.
- Issue parts in SAP(Daily), PJ/PIT Operation.
- Log radio calls/dispatch.
- Communicate issues via email during shift.
- Miscellaneous Duties (As needed).
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1 year of parts room/inventory experience required
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required; must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook. Prior experience in SAP is a plus.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
Special Skills: Knowledge of parts and tools used in a plant; ability to prioritize work.
