Summary of Position
Must have working knowledge of Insulation prints and plot plans. Must work closely with planning department and know how to use an outline of work scope. Must have supervision skills and be able to lead one or more Insulation crews. Communication skills are important and incumbent must report any problems occurring in the field to the Job Superintendent. Must be familiar with the promotions, demotions, and termination policies. Must have tools and material inventory management skills for controlling inventory losses.

Nature and Scope
The Insulation Foreman is responsible for the safety of team and must have knowledge and be able to comply with the Brand safety procedures. The Insulation Foreman must also be able to handle accident investigations and reporting.
The incumbent must be capable to step into the Acting Superintendent position if necessary.
The incumbent reports to the Job Superintendent.
The incumbent must know proper hiring, promotion, demotion, and termination policies and must know the Brand alcohol/drug policy and how to administer same. The incumbent must be able to coordinate multiple crews and promote business as well as being able to plan the work and orders of materials in a timely manner.
The position requires a general knowledge of construction practices and an in-depth understanding of industrial and commercial Insulation construction principles and techniques. A thorough knowledge of safe scaffolding methods and materials, as well as necessary staffing requirements for construction projects is required. The incumbent must be able to fill out leases and return on material, read and understand blueprints and estimate jobs. This position requires the ability to build all standard and non-standard scaffolds(Brand and OSHA standards) as well as set up difficult scaffolds(boilers, towers, cat crackers, etc.) It also requires the ability to correct any inefficiency, when informed about production or safety quality problems.
The incumbent must have excellent communication skills and communicate effectively with customers and promote business and well as the Job Superintendent.
This position is required to enforce Brand’s dress code.
Experience and Training Required to Perform Job
Minimum job requirement is five years experience in a construction environment.
