*Summary: *This position is responsible for regulatory compliance activities supporting both the Plant Nutrition and Salt businesses.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities *include but are not limited to the following: /(Management reserves the right to add or modify the duties and responsibilities at any time.)/

  • Ensuring compliance with U.S., Canadian and International registration and labeling regulations for all fertilizer and animal feed products

  • Ensuring correct and timely payment of state fertilizer and animal feed tonnage fees

  • Reviewing and maintaining up-to-date, accurate and compliant animal feed and fertilizer product labeling, and other regulatory documentation

  • Effectively reviewing product labeling and commercialization plans, and communicating regulatory requirements to other business functions, to ensure compliance while enabling global product launches

Education and/or Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (biology, chemistry, etc) is required.

  • 2-5 years of regulatory compliance experience in the ag-chemical industry is required.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree (masters) is preferred.

  • Depth of knowledge of regulatory compliance, including ag-chemical regulations (state, federal and international). Experience generating and maintaining product regulatory documentation, making state, federal and international product submissions, creating safety data sheets, and responding to regulator requests during product review. Familiarity with state, federal and international food, chemical, fertilizer and animal feed import, registration and labeling requirements is desired.

  • Ability to effectively manage many ongoing, complex, and ambiguous activities simultaneously; maintain focus and minimize errors on routine tasks; complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Ability to establish and maintain organization of regulatory documentation.

  • Ability to “influence without authority”; ability to use regulatory knowledge to evaluate business and product commercialization strategies (timing, labeling, etc), and effectively communicate regulatory requirements to other business functions, to ensure compliance while enabling global product launches.
