What Global Trade Compliance contributes to Cardinal Health
The Cardinal Health Global Trade Compliance team (“GTC”) is responsible for the development and implementation of an effective compliance program through identification and interpretation of laws and regulations, provision of regulatory guidance, training and development, audit and assessment, data management, process design and continuous improvement, automated tool development and M&A due diligence
The GTC Analyst will ensure compliance with Customs and partner government agencies by adhering to and promoting the GTC Compliance program, serving as contact for Customs authority notices, acting as central coordinator for payment requests, processing monthly duty reconciliation, acting as ACE gatekeeper, monitoring continuous bond sufficiency, assisting with central GTC drive, maintaining powers of attorney, assisting with Recordkeeping and providing support to team members.
The GTC Analyst must be highly motivated, engaged, extremely well-organized, excel at maintaining meticulous records and executing tasks within deadlines. Further, works well within a team environment, flexible, adaptable, able to manage change, ambiguity and uncertainty effectively.
This position reports to the Senior Director, Global Trade Compliance.
Responsibilities
Serve as central GTC contact for notices received from Customs authorities. Receive notices, log and distribute to applicable team member for resolution. Monitor dates to ensure timely response to authorities, sending reminders to team members as needed. Receive team member response, review, assist with revisions and submit to leadership for approval. Once approved, submit to Customs authorities. Meticulously update log, create folder on central drive and save copies of all documentation and correspondence for recordkeeping purposes.
Act as central GTC coordinator for payment requests, including but not limited to: Customs invoices, subscriptions, dues, Customs attorneys et al. Receive invoices, research with applicable team member, intercede with Finance to assign applicable general ledger codes, submit for payment and follow up to ensure paid timely. Meticulously update log, create or update folder on central drive and save copies of all documentation and correspondence for recordkeeping purposes.
Obtain monthly duty reconciliation report, review, research with applicable team members, intercede with Finance and business representatives, provide supporting documentation, obtain applicable general ledger codes and submit.
Perform role of U.S. Customs (CBP) ACE gatekeeper, assigning, monitoring and controlling systems access. Update and maintain business unit names, addresses and contact information. Assist with retrieving and distributing reports, as necessary.
Monitor Customs continuous bond sufficiency, alert leadership if action required to increase or decrease bonds. Assist with bond amount adjustments, as applicable. Receive surety invoices, proof, assign general ledger codes and submit for payment. Meticulously update log, update folder on central drive and save copies of documentation and correspondence for recordkeeping purposes.
Assist with transition and implementation to new GTC central drive, establishing file folder structure and facilitate team member file transfer from existing sources. Oversee ongoing drive maintenance and access requests.
Maintain copies of Customs power of attorney documents, facilitate issuance, renewal and revocation, as applicable. Meticulously update log, update folder on central drive and save copies of all documentation and correspondence for recordkeeping purposes.
Assist team leadership with monitoring and auditing Recordkeeping process and actual storage of both general GTC documents and shipment-specific documents for import and/or export declarations.
Provide support to GTC team members, including but not limited to: obtain monthly report submissions and consolidate into one central report, track SOP/work instruction status, P-card purchases, PTO log, schedule webinars/seminars and distribute materials, track GTC-related training, assist with preparing, distributing and following up on meeting minutes and action plans (as requested).

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
1-2 years of experience working with Trade Compliance preferred
Highly motivated, engaged and self-driven
Well-organized with good time management skills to execute tasks within deadlines
Intermediate MS Office skills: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams & Word
Superior listening, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills
Flexible and adaptable, ability to manage ambiguity, change and uncertainty effectively
