ROLE SUMMARY

This change in focus requires a transformational learning and development organization to support the new business goals.
The Chief Learning Officer (CLO) is a transformational and experienced learning & development (L&D) leader who oversees all L&D programs within Pfizer. This leader will transform the learning and development experience through creative programs and content and will drive outcomes that enable Pfizer's goals.

The CLO is responsible forlearning methods that are experiential and on-demand, creating and curating content for an exceptional learning experience when and where it's needed.
The CLO is also charged with transforming learning to an agile and more strategic function. The successful candidate will create learning strategies, oversee their execution, and ensure that all programs align with Pfizer's Purpose Blueprint, business goals and values.
The CLO will report directly to the Chief Digital and Technology Officer.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads an enterprise learning and development organization, which is comprised of nearly 250 colleagues, and encourages, motivates, and leads the team to be their best
Leads the overall design, development, content, experience, platforms and delivery of learning and development across the enterprise
Oversees leadership development content and deployment of internal and leadership pathways that support Pfizer's values and behaviors
Develops the organization's learning culture and ensures the vision is shared at all levels
Shapes learning content and delivery based on Pfizer's Purpose Blueprint - including new models, products, audiences and skills to enable the business goals and principles, and enterprise/divisional needs
Upskills in key and critical areas including R&D, Marketing, Sales and Field Medical
Evolves our project-based way of working and leadership skills with learning content, skills and required accreditation for team leads and members
Creates effective strategies through identification and assessment of learning and development needs
Creates a learning strategy and roadmap of personalized, digitized and curated learning experiences that support current and future workforce skills and development needs as well as continually evolving the colleague experience.
Applies the latest learning technologies and ensures all colleagues have access to the resources they need to learn new skills and meet their performance goals
Develops and oversees relationships with external partners (e.g., content, instructional design, custom programs, platforms, etc.)
Facilitates and leads the Learning Council, comprised of leaders across Pfizer to ensure awareness, input and execution of learning and development strategies and programs
Evaluates and measures the effectiveness of learning programs and refines as needed
Responsible for learning management systems and other eLearning tools and their integration to other Pfizer systems as appropriate
Partners with key stakeholders across all levels to ensure learning solutions address business needs and drives towards desired outcomes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Degree qualification: Bachelor's degree
15 + years of relevant experience Leadership Development, Learning Program Development & Delivery, or related field
At least 10 years progressive experience in adult learning and eLearning
At least 5 years in a strategic leadership role
Creative visionary with a passion for learning and professional development and the ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts
Transformational and Tactical Planning: Ability to lead operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years), and strategic (3-5 years) planning to drive tangible business outcomes
Track record of creating and leading successful teams
Strong collaborator, builds strategic relationships quickly across a highly matrixed organization, at all organizational levels
Can create an environment that encourages innovation
Able to influence and negotiate without formal direct authority
Can anticipate issues/needs and work proactively to address them
Possess high energy, a sense of urgency, creativity, and decisiveness; ability to work well under pressure and in ambiguous situations
High degree of professional maturity, presence, and emotional intelligence; can exercise sound judgment and is a resource for others
Ability to synthesize and make data-based recommendations
Demonstrates cultural competency
Excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels of the organization including the ability to quickly gain credibility with senior level management;
English fluency required
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $254,400.00 to $424,100.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.
