Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Corporate Affairs and Communications Internal Communications Manager:

Remote position in the Eastern or Central time zones.

As the Internal Communications Manager, you’ll be working to help employees across the organization stay up to date about the company’s vision, goals, projects and executive updates by leading strategic internal and executive communications programs. You will work across teams including Marketing, Human Resources, Product, Sales, and Technology to support the brand mission and evolve brand story. The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for creating experiences. The role will build a strong culture of collaboration to create experiences that engage, connect and inspire the community of employees!

Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting is hiring a Global Internal Communications Manager to support the execution of an internal communications program to connect employees to the company’s purpose/strategy. You will drive the established cadence for communications and protocol around internal communications to ensure corporate wide programs are effectively and efficiently communicated to all levels of the organization. The role requires the ability to set and execute strategy ‘hands on’ and is 30 percent strategic and 70 percent tactical. The position reports to the Vice President, Branding and Communications of the Tax & Accounting Division.

IC Manager Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on content strategy and editorial planning for internal communications channels (e.g., company intranet, internal social networks, videos and newsletters.)

  • Serve as managing editor for the Division intranet and employee newsletter.

  • Develop communication strategy and executive communications, including employee town halls.

  • Work with functional experts to plan, design and execute internal communications and plans.

  • Ensure communications are consistent with the company’s vision, mission and core values.

  • Bring an innovative mind-set to continually improve and develop new communication tools and channels aimed at enhancing internal communication efforts.

  • Review communication and presentation material to ensure integrated and consistent messaging.

  • Write and distribute internal communications including, but not limited to: C-suite announcements, company updates, newsletters, new hire introductions.

  • Evaluate/measure effectiveness of communication strategies, tactics and content; turn the findings into actions to improve future communication.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in all world regions and business units to ensure consistency in messaging and tone, quality and timely distribution of communication.

  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Internal Communications Manager Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or public relations or equivalent experience.

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in developing and executing communications strategies for a global, large company (public company experience a plus).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent writing, editing including article, script and website writing, copyediting and proofreading skills, as well as the ability to vary writing style to meet tone and personality.

  • Ability to influence others; skill/diplomacy in dealing with people at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Ability to research, build data and analytics programs and tools, and experience with communication technology, SharePoint and content management systems.

  • Experience working with senior executives and cross-functional, cross-regional teams.

  • Strong executive communications experience: You can write and tailor content for specific audiences that demonstrates a deep understanding of messaging, positioning and stakeholder needs.

  • Fearless when embracing technology: You’re comfortable learning new programs easily to enhance company-wide communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Communications experience in a corporate or agency setting with relevant work in internal communications.

  • SharePoint knowledge.

  • Crisis communication experience.

  • Multilingual preferred with a global mindset.
