Job Description
Intel's All Cores Engineering (ACE) organization is responsible for delivering Intel's most critical and differentiating IP block - the CPU. Specifically, the leader of this global organization will be accountable for the architecture and design of Intel's three industry-leading CPUs: P-core, E-core, and Next Gen Core across the Client, Datacenter, and Network/Edge market segments. The leader will manage a senior leadership team consisting of Vice Presidents and Technical Executives and lead an organization of approximately 2300 employees across six countries. The leader will be required to deliver a portfolio of x86 cores to all major Intel market segments and closely align with Client and Server System on a Chip (SOC) leaders for a timely delivery of the Cores for integration onto the SOCs.
In this unique role, the ideal candidate will collaborate with the senior architects and designers within ACE and a variety of internal and external stakeholders to define the technical direction for the ACE organization. Additionally, the leader must be capable of providing strategic input and insight to Intel's Executive leadership team to shape future CPU products and the broader XPU strategy and ecosystem.
As a General Manager and Corporate Vice President the candidate must be a superb people and organizational leader experienced at leading change, building coalitions, driving results, listening to and understanding conflicting perspectives, and leading by example. The leader must be an exceptional communicator capable of inspiring others with a clear technical and strategic vision for Cores. This role requires strong influencing skills to partner with a wide range of stakeholders across all of Silicon Design, Technology Development, and the Client, Server, and Network/Edge business units.
Candidates must have deep experience either designing or architecting CPUs preferably with x86 Cores, a broad understanding of SOC architecture and design, and insight into process technology and the implications to Core performance.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Serving as the primary accountable owner for Intel's CPU portfolio across all market segments
Listen to and collaborate with Core senior architects and designers to relentlessly innovate Intel's industry-leading CPUs and continue to be the differentiating IP for the company against a host of new and existing competitors in the CPU space
High-level oversight of pathfinding and advanced development activities including performance modeling and analysis, and CPU architecture
Lead a globally diverse team of 2300 employees including people managers and ICs, Appointed Vice Presidents, Intel Fellows and Senior Fellows, and matrix partners (Finance, HR, Legal, etc. . .)
Develop a cohesive vision to inspire both the ACE organization and internal/external stakeholders on Intel's CPU strategy and its relationship with the broader XPU ecosystem at Intel and across the industry
Provide executive management status updates including recommendations to Sr. Exec / Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members on the CPU roadmap
Craft keynote presentations and other executive collateral
Coach and mentor direct staff and other senior leaders throughout the organization to ensure all leaders role model sound management practices and reinforce a culture of collaboration, innovation, and predictable execution
Build a strong and unified ACE organization with efficiency and collaboration across teams and sites
Qualifications
Bachelors + 25 years' experience in CS/EE/CE or other appropriate technical field of study with a background in CPU design or architecture
Masters + 20 years'experience in CS/EE/CE or other appropriate technical field of study with a background in CPU design or architecture
Organizational Leadership experience for global teams of greater than 1000 employees
15+ years product development and architecture experience on CPUs
Expert knowledge of CPU concepts and design patterns

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
