Job Description
Join Takeda as a Director of Corporate Accounts where you will Establish and maintain customer relationships, including collaborating with the Sr. Director, Corporate Accounts for ESI, Managed Markets Senior Leadership, Contracting, Analytics, and Medical to deliver account goals and strengthen customer equity here at Takeda.
How you will contribute:
Establish and maintain high level customer relationships
You will Navigate organization to ensure that Takeda is building relationships with all key stakeholders, including creating opportunities for other Takeda functions to proactively engage account counterpart, including medical, HEOR, etc
You will Operate within a complex selling environment that requires proactive management of key clinical and economic influencers
Build strategic plans that focus on opening access
You will support strategic plans with defined tactics and objectives to move payer decisions in a direction that continues to open access for the appropriate patients
Assess competitive market landscape and opportunities for improved or expanded market penetration and adoption
Drives payer strategy with customers and ensures implementation and execution of priority items such as product launches, line extensions, & contract negotiations.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver account goals
You will support the efforts of the Sr. Director, Corporate Accounts for ESI through cross functional collaboration, participating in special projects and strategy development
You will be responsible for communicating all account specific information with Regional Accounts and Sales
You will collaborate across all relevant business units within the organization to educate on access and coverage for Takeda products in addition to helping resolve unique reimbursement challenges
Develop programs for the account and contract for patient access
You will Identify and monitor new or evolving market dynamics and impact to customer systems and provide input internally for prioritizing coverage for optimal access. Ensure Takeda formulary positioning and meet overall access objectives.
You will develop and continuously improve programs and contracts, including value-based and partnership agreements to meet the account and Takeda’s needs
You will negotiate contracts to meet revenue/rebate objectives
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Preferred – minimum 8 years in managed markets, payer marketing and/or pharmaceutical industry or similar experience
Preferred – minimum 3 years of experience calling on payer/PBM accounts and negotiating multi-product contractual arrangements or similar experience
Previous experience leading teams, projects, programs, or similar experience
Detailed knowledge of payer/PBM economics: understanding key issues and the dynamics of an evolving US healthcare landscape
In-depth pharmaceutical knowledge: including but not limited to sales, legal, industry regulations, and supply chain management
Strategic thinking: understand account priorities and impact on individual decision-makers
Leadership of multiple internal stakeholders: Confidently articulates recommendation despite varying opinions and objectively works toward consensus
Applied analytics: adeptness to apply analytical insight to drive account performance and make sound strategic decisions
Business planning: develop a robust business account plan and align Takeda stakeholders against delivery
Must have authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental
Travel Requirements- ability to travel 40-50% within the US. Periodic overnight travel may be required.

Base Salary Range : $165,200 to $236,000, based on candidate's professional experience level. Employees may also be eligible for Short-term and Long-Term Incentive benefits as well. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off. The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
