To help with the incredible task of building data pipelines, implementing modeling workflows, and helping Kabbage investigate new sources of data. You like to dig in to understand all the nuances of data you are working with, and you know how to extract information from large, complex data sets.
What you'll be doing:
Support Data Science modeling and analysis projects by managing the data pipelines and machine learning workflows from start to finish
Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS technologies
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Analyze, understand and contextualize datasets from a variety of sources
Evaluate new data sources for acquisition and integration
Turn raw data into features to be used in machine learning models
Build machine learning models and research new modeling and data analysis techniques
Work cross-functionally with technical leaders across the business to become the guru on understanding how our data is being collected and used throughout the business

What you should have:
Strong ability in at least one programming language, preferably Python
Experience processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data
A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres
Experience with AWS cloud services
Experience with CI/CD practices and frameworks
Experience in machine learning, natural language processing and other modeling techniques
Strong knowledge of statistics
