As the Director for Consumer insights , you will develop a deep understanding of our prospects and customers to inform our segmentation, marketing messaging, and overall growth strategy. In this role you are responsible for understanding why prospects or customers have certain preferences or make certain decisions. These insights will be critical as we work to develop brand personas and messaging to those personas in a compelling and relatable fashion.
What You’ll Do:
Conduct research and analysis to understand our prospects including who they are, their motivations, how they feel about our brand, which product/service features are most important to them, what drives their buying decision at different stages of the buying journey, and how they feel about the competition.
Conduct research and analysis to understand our customers including: Why do customers make certain decisions or take certain behaviors? What are their pain points today and how severe are those pain points? How do they feel about our brand vis-à-vis the competition? What do they value most in our products and services? Where are the pain points? How would they feel about future products/services/solutions?
Aggregate internal (RIS, service, NPS, etc.) and external (social, web, etc.) customer data to identify patterns, trends and opportunities for sales and retention. Develop a central voice-of-the customer (VOC) repository and structured reports for self-service.
Conduct primary (focus groups, customer surveys, etc.) and secondary research to uncover the needs, preferences, and behaviors of our (the ‘why’) from our prospects and customers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to answer key customer questions and develop customer-focused strategies and initiatives.
Conduct primary research on the base to better understand interest in a mobile product to inform our positioning and messaging strategy.
Conduct research on customers that are visiting Uqual to check prices to uncover the ‘why’ and develop an action plan
Do You Have:
12 years of brand marketing or consumer research marketing experience with 7 years leadership experience.
Exceptional team leader skills and an ability to influence cross-functionally while collaborating with multiple levels of leaders and teams within the organization.
Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, reacting with sound judgement and often without specific direction.
Expertise in developing and implementing brand strategies based on consumer insights, market data, category trends, customer analysis, and the competitive environment.
Proficient at flexing between strategic planning and tactical planning.
Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA is preferred

Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience.
College degree and 10 years professional level experience with 3-5 years supervisory experience; or 14 years professional level related experience with 3-5 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience desired.
