Role Description

The Director of AIML/Data Annotation services will oversee the strategic and operational aspects of data labeling and annotation processes critical to AI/ML model development. This role combines technical expertise, leadership skills, sales enablement and a strong understanding of AI/ML workflows to ensure high-quality data annotations, scalability, and efficiency in the data pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for scalable and efficient data annotation processes

  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with model development objectives

  • Drive innovation in annotation tools, workflows, and quality control practices

  • Oversee the end-to-end data annotation lifecycle, including data sourcing, labeling, quality assurance, and delivery to create a robust global implementation playbook

  • Work closely with a team of operational leaders for data annotators, quality analysts, and third-party vendors to meet project timelines and quality benchmarks

  • Optimize workflows to improve annotation speed, accuracy, and cost-efficiency

  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain annotation tools and platforms to streamline operations

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop automation solutions, such as active learning and AI-assisted labeling and global WFM tools for project-based delivery

  • Stay updated on advancements in AI/ML and data annotation technologies to ensure the team uses state-of-the-art practices

  • Implement a comprehensive sales enablement strategy for AIML/data annotation services

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to identify gaps in the sales process and create targeted initiatives to address them

  • Achieve key metrics and KPIs to measuring the effectiveness of sales enablement programs and drive continuous improvement

  • Design and deliver sales training programs, including onboarding for new hires, ongoing training for existing staff, and specialized training for new products or market segments

  • Continuously evaluate new methods and technologies that could benefit the sales team

  • Develop and manage a repository of sales enablement content, including playbooks, sales scripts, presentations, case studies, and competitive information

  • Develop relationship with account leaders and sales leads of top accounts in regions to track new sales opportunities

  • Work closely with marketing and product teams to ensure content is up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with the sales strategy

  • Customize content for different sales channels, customer segments, and stages of the sales cycle

  • Act as a liaison between sales, marketing, product management, and other departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives

  • Facilitate regular communication and feedback loops between the sales & T&S practice teams and other key stakeholders

  • Provide regular reports and insights to T&S practice leadership on the progress and impact of sales enablement efforts

Candidate Profile

  • At least 15 years of work experience and functional expertise gained through professional qualification or extensive work experience

  • Up to 5 years of experience working in AIML/Data Annotation operational leadership role is desirable

  • Familiarity with specific domains such as NLP, computer vision, or speech processing

  • Ability to develop long-term strategies that align with the organization’s objectives

  • Strong leadership skills to guide, inspire, and develop a pool of Trust & Safety salespeople

  • Ability to work effectively across functions and build strong relationships with key stakeholders

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly and persuasively

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities

  • Focus on achieving measurable results and driving continuous improvement
