We are seeking a passionate, highly skilled and visionary Solution Engineering Director to lead a team of solution engineers in designing and delivering impactful solutions to the market. This leader will have an amazing opportunity to work as a trusted advisor to both the solution engineering and sales organizations, as well as, with our Product Development team.
As a thought leader of our pre-sales team you will have a major impact on our future success. The goal of the team is to grow this business, along with support from the business unit, executive team, and sales. Individuals applying for this role must be entrepreneurial and self-driven with a passion for selling software’s value to an organization and creating a team culture of innovating with pride in delivery, continuously expanding their knowledge/skillset and collaborating with others for success.
As the Director of Solution Engineering, you will be responsible for helping to develop our go-to-market strategy and supporting strategic sales opportunities. You will share your knowledge and expertise to help prepare a team of solution engineers for executing their opportunities and communicate with product development teams to improve our product for the industry.

Responsibilities
Drive strategy and thought leadership for meeting market needs
Responsible for growing and enabling a team of high powered pre-sales solution engineers
Drive development of re-usable solutions, enablement kits and other sales assets within the team
Define programs for enabling the core product sales and solution engineering teams to drive sales, adoption and value proposition
Create metrics and measure effectiveness of the team
Collaborate with product management and development teams to ensure industry product improvements based on customer and solution engineering feedback.
Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and successful pursuit of opportunities
Develop critical relationships with industry evaluation firms.
Develop, manage and maintain critical relationships with strategic customers.
Help develop and contribute to sales campaigns focused on Healthcare and Higher Education

We are looking for a passionate leader looking to join a highly successful team who has:
Extensive Pre-sales solution engineering, sales engineering or professional services leadership experience in the Healthcare and Higher Education industry
Strong people management abilities with the charisma to inspire and lead
Proven pre-sales skills, including the ability to customize solutions, facilitate product demonstrations and effectively communicate value proposition and key differentiators to prospects
Experience communicating with both business and technical stakeholders at all levels
Experience working collaboratively with product management, product marketing and product development
A passion evangelizing our capabilities and successes
A self-starter who will take the initiative to develop programs for enablement and growth
A high degree of passion, energy, drive and willingness to travel

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $141,800 to $232,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 60/40 - 65/35.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
