Job Details

Our Abuse Operations team focuses on defending our organization, customers, and the broader internet community by detecting and mitigating malicious actors attempting to abuse our platforms. Our team includes those who have faced nation state, eCrime, and other types of threat actors in a threat intelligence, incident response, and/or threat detection function in past lives. We use our wide experience to uncover abusers and partner with our product and engineering teams to improve the security of our Salesforce platforms.

Role

As an Abuse Operations leader, you will drive the vision and direction of your security engineering and operations team to reduce the amount of time or impact a malicious actor could have on our platforms. You are a seasoned security leader with experience educating peers and advocating for better security practices across your organization. As a manager you will help our engineers grow professionally, provider career direction, and build an inclusive environment where trust and robust dialogue a paramount for success.

Your Impact:

Success will be measured by your ability to lead a diverse team of security engineers to deliver quality intelligence products that shape the direction of our security program.

  • Help ensure the Salesforce Platform and ecosystem is free of malware, abuse, and causes no harm to third parties.

  • Increase the effectiveness of the abuse operations team by building the roadmap for tooling for detection and response and platform engineering on prevention controls.

  • Define, track, and analyze metrics and develop practical tracking and reporting methods to monitor and improve performance

  • Proactively identify, engage, and recruit talent

Qualifications

  • You have 4+ years of management experience leading teams of expert level security professionals

  • Experience coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback

  • You have first-hand knowledge of how advanced adversaries operate and their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)

  • You are a capable communicator, able to engage others at multiple levels to translate findings into actionable recommendations to help shape platform security

  • You operate in an autonomous manner, driving the delivery of projects and deliverables with minimal oversight across multiple teams

  • You work as a part of a remote and globally distributed team, contributing to discussions via a video call or Slack

Preferred Qualifications

  • You have past experience performing hands-on analysis of live attackers with endpoint or network artifacts

  • You have past experience with hunting/IR tools used for host and network analysis

  • You have lead all of the above “at scale“ in a large, complex environment

  • You have experience leading software engineering teams and driving results for operations teams through code

  • You have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in related degree or equivalent work experience

For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $ 170,000 . You may also be entitled to receive bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
