Intel FPGA Memory-IO DDR Architect in Topeka, Kansas

Job Description

Help define the memory solutions for the next generation of Intel FPGAs (field-programmable gate array). The position is within the Intel PSG (FPGA) Silicon Architecture team. Define next generation memory system architectures and efficient memory hierarchies for DDR, HBM, persistent memory, and future memories. Work closely with design teams, SW, and other memory and FPGA/SOC architects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Keeping appraised of latest memory technologies and JEDEC/Vendor roadmaps.

  • Work with a cross-functional team to architect IP and products as it relates to memory.

  • Own architecture specifications.

  • Work with Performance Modeling team on simulation and data analysis.

  • Work with SW/Quartus team to define customer usable solution of our memory subsystems.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in CS or EE.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

7+ years industry experience that includes:

  • Design of DDR, LPDDR, and/or HBM memory subsystems for ASIC, SOC, or FPGAs. e.g., DDR5.

  • Working experience in DRAM protocol.

  • Logic design, Verilog RTL, and ASIC design methodologies.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in CS or EE.

  • Experience with AXI Bus Protocols.

  • Experience with network-on-chip interconnect (NOC).

  • Experience with Performance modeling.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
