(165) General Plant Laborers: Temporary, Full Time, Employment period October 1, 2022 through July 15, 2023. Assists with production, preparation and storage of company products. Places boxed products on a pallet. Maintains housekeeping of the production plant and warehouse. Follows company's safety guidelines and good manufacturing practices. No experience required. No education required. On the job training will be provided if needed.

Workers will be paid no less than $13.50 per hour; workers working swing or night shifts may be paid higher wage rates up to $14.50 per hour. Overtime hours may be available as per company needs and will be paid at a minimum of $20.25 per hour for any hours worked beyond 40 hours worked in a work week (work week is Sunday-Saturday). Employer will offer at least 40 hours of work per week, Monday – Friday, day and swing/night shifts as needed. Work on Saturdays and Sundays may be required. Work location: Topeka - Shawnee County, Kansas.

Optional furnished housing, utilities and, shuttle transportation from the housing location provided on a limited first-come first-served basis at a cost of $100 per week ($200 bi-weekly) which will be deducted from bi-weekly paycheck. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Wages will be paid on Thursdays bi-weekly by direct deposit or rapid! PayCard® Visa® Prepaid card. Employer will make all deductions from worker’s paycheck required by law.

If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.

Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $14.00 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.

Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).

The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
