LOCATION: Hill’s Pet Nutrition Center, Topeka, KS

At Hill’s Pet Nutrition, our Science & Technology team leads with science, innovation, love, and care. Nestled in our Pet Nutrition Center, over 900 cats and dogs help us craft premium pet food for pets like yours. Now, we’re looking for someone who’s passionate about HR—and pets—to join us!

Are you ready to kickstart your HR career with a global leader? Hill’s Pet Nutrition is seeking a driven HR Co-Op to join our Business HR team at our Science & Technology Center in Topeka, KS. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, work on meaningful projects, and make a real difference in a fun, collaborative environment.

In this role, you’ll work alongside a dynamic HR team, gaining exposure to a variety of HR functions, from employee engagement to strategic HR initiatives. If you're eager to apply your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive HR Initiatives: Support impactful HR projects that boost employee experience and fuel business success.

  • Collaborate & Communicate: Partner with diverse teams on initiatives like learning programs, people development, talent acquisition, labor strategy, and HR data accuracy.

  • Boost Employee Engagement: Help plan and roll out programs that keep our team inspired and connected.

  • Dive into HR Operations & Data Analytics: Use data to guide decisions and optimize processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a degree in HR, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field.

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

  • Prior corporate or internship experience is preferred.

Duration: This is a paid Co-op position for a 12-month period, preferably from January to January. The role requires a minimum of 20 part-time hours during the school year and 40 full-time hours during the summer of 2025.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $20.00 - $24.50 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
