Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is looking to add to our Employee Relations team and has a new opportunity for a Human Resource Generalist. This position should be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of HR processes and procedures. This position will play a crucial role in implementing HR initiatives, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The HR Generalist will advise leaders and employees of all things related to HR.

This position is eligible to work hybrid (9 or more days a month onsite) in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. Applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.

What youll do

  • Partner with HRBPs and leadership to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with organization\'s goals
  • Performs routine tasks related to administration and execution of HR programs including but not limited to performance management, productivity, morale
  • Provide guidance and support to leaders and employees on HR-related matters including but not limited to policy guidance, performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolutions, benefits, recruitment etc., referring more complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including EEO, ADA, FMLA and FLSA
  • Prepares special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Conduct developmental follow-up sessions on HR-related topics such as harassment prevention, conflict resolution, etc.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and recommending appropriate resolution
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
