This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Company Job ID-6108BASIC PURPOSE/SCOPEPosition is responsible for providing leadership to associates and is responsible for coordinating and supervising maintenance tasks performed on facilities and equipment. The purpose for this position is to maximize equipment and facility effectiveness and to reduce unscheduled downtime and waste, and promote a high moral environment.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for ensuring and maintaining a safe environment through compliance of all Company, Local, State and Federal mandates or programs. Responsible for compliance with GMP, Food Safety, Personal Safety and Quality policies and procedures. Supervises Maintenance Technicians and responsible for day-to-day associate relations Give timely feedback, coaching and mentoring to team members to help maintain or improve expected performance Directs workers, or assists in diagnosing malfunctions in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment. Evaluates production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Directs and coordinates assembly, fabrication and installation activities to ensure equipment and systems conform to engineering design and internal specifications and standards. Recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions or to improve safety, quality or equipment operating parameters. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Understands levels of scrap and rework caused by equipment issues and associated points of cause. Use effective data analysis and root cause problem solving to eliminate scrap and rework caused by equipment issues Researches and costs project proposals to determine feasibility, payback and equipment design. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Builds a culture of continuous improvement and standardization. Identify potential cost savings and cost avoidance Takes appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system. Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring. Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits. Position Requirements:POSITION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma/GED required; Trade School Certification, Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred. 3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry. Hands on experience in electrical, electronic, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic, refrigeration, HVAC and pneumatic systems. Basic working knowledge of personal computers and MS Office Software. Demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees within a team oriented environment. Good written and oral communication skills.
