Your day at NTT DATA
The IS Systems Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining the company’s IS systems infrastructure and applications. This role involves tactical and strategic decision-making to ensure the welfare of the organization, encouraging good IS culture, and implementing best business practices. The IS Operations Manager will work closely with IS leaders, administrators, and project managers to deliver top-quality IS solutions and manage day-to-day operations. The IS Systems Operations Manager is expected to be an additional resource if needed to maintain and manage a 24x7x365 team.
What you'll be doing
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain the company’s infrastructure specifically around storage, virtualization platforms
Maintain patch levels, OS (Operating System) versions, and vulnerability management are up to date
Maintain SSO environment
Maintain VDI environment, infrastructure, OS, and application maintenance
Build out of IS system infrastructure for new Data Center Deployments
Builds KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to measure team performance, capacity management, and others as needed
Defines, delivers, and supports strategic plans for implementing technology solutions in accordance with business goals and objectives
Manages technology research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and projects
Recommends new initiatives and develops solutions to meet business requirements
Oversees change management and process management
Recruits, selects, orients, and trains employees
Participate budget discussions, current and future planning initiatives
Plans and manages the time, tasks, and projects for a diverse team of technology experts
Oversees projects relating to system development and/or equipment which falls under the responsibility of the IS department
Maintains proper function of company’s information processing systems then recommends and implements upgrades and capacity as required
Maintains working relationships with vendors and third-party providers, ensuring contracts are kept up to date and cost maintenance strategies are assessed and analyzed on a periodic basis
Recommends products and services to the benefit of the company and its customers
Recommends appropriate maintenance strategies to ensure uninterrupted systems usage and proper back-up and recovery and security measures
Maintains current knowledge with technology updates to ensure technology new features and functionality is leveraged
Maintains an elevated level of technical competence and ability to perform work within the domains of IS Systems, Networking, and Application management
Performs performance reviews based on defined objectives for the individuals
Manges technical Engineering staffing levels to support clients 24x7x365
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
Regular attendance is essential for satisfactory performance

Data Center experience (Scada and security applications)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required.
BA or BS or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience required plus;
Minimum of 10 years of systems infrastructure, application administration and management which includes 5 years’ management and/or supervisory experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Primarily walking, sitting, standing, and bending
Ability to work in confined spaces
Able to hear and speak on a telephone
Close visual work on a computer terminal
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, other technical instruments, and for performing cable terminations and testing
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
Ability to climb ladders and worked on a raised platform
WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
This position is expected to be remote for the near future with an occasional need to be on-site in a shared work environment
Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer
Must be available for 24x7 support of customers and NTT GDC Americas, Inc.
Must be reachable via telephone, text, and email on a 24x7 basis
25% travel or as required for training, conferences, vendor and manufacturer visits, quality control, design and build collaboration, and work-assistance at other NTT GDC Americas, Inc. locations. Travel requirements may vary based on the frequency and intensity of remote site operations. Global Travel may be required and must have a valid passport.
This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $128,800 - $191,000.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
