What You’ll Be Doing:

The Managing Director, Performance Solutions is responsible for developing and executing the set of performance initiatives that enable NCH to meet its financial, operational, and strategic goals. This leader will be at the forefront of operational change and optimization within New Century Health, and will collaborate closely with NCH leadership across Clinical, Partner Operations, UM, Network Operations, Product, Strategy, Growth, and Analytics. This position will report into the Senior Vice President of Delivery Operations.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provides overall leadership for NCH performance portfolio, with responsibility for driving impactful initiatives that enhance the clinical and financial impact for NCH clients while further entrenching NCH’s market-leading strategic positioning

  • Responsible for the internal articulation of NCH’s performance narrative to be used as a key input into NCH’s operational roadmap as well as both analytics and product prioritization

  • Accountability for designing, prioritizing, and administering key pilots that have outsized impact on NCH’s future operations and value model

  • Interact with external constituents to enable outside perspectives to impact NCH’s performance structure

  • Partner with Clinical and Analytics teams to identify and drive program innovation to expand NCH’s operations and value model

  • Engage with Partner Operations leaders to identify performance and scale opportunities that enable optimal delivery of NCH operations; support initiative roll-out across clients / markets

  • Partner with Product team on initiatives that build or enhance NCH’s product offering

  • Manage and provide coaching to Performance Solutions team to optimize success of key initiatives (e.g., roles and responsibilities, project plans, milestones, and metrics of success)

  • Set clear goals and objectives using metrics to measure performance while holding team members accountable

  • Ensure strict compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies, procedures and processes

  • Communicate consistently and routinely with all participants

The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 10 years+ of health care management and/or consulting experience

  • 7+ years of program management

  • Excellent written, computer, and oral communication skills

  • Experience with managed care and provider engagement

  • Experience with Medical Expense reporting and initiative development

  • A strategic thinker and tactical executor who can move an idea from concept to reality

  • Ability to achieve organizational objectives and facilitate process improvement

  • Proven ability to interact with and influence clients and internal stakeholders at all levels

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

  • M.B.A. or equivalent graduate degree

  • Intense intellectual curiosity and an ability to view old problems with a fresh perspective

  • Ability to effectively engage with and influence staff across various NCH departments without direct reporting control

  • Can thrive in a very dynamic, iterative environment

Technical requirements:

Evolent allows employees to work remotely for many of our positions. For those working remotely, we require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 MBPS and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router.
