Ultimate LLC has an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer, Parcel
Location : Franklin, TN or Remote $85-$95k depending on experience.

About the Role :
As a Mechanical Engineer, Parcel , you'll leverage your knowledge of engineering principles and materials to meticulously detail all aspects of material handling systems. Your responsibilities will include creating comprehensive drawing sets for communication with customers, building officials, suppliers, and subcontractors during design, installation, and permitting phases. You'll work within a project team under the guidance of an engineering manager. We value your systematic approach, technical expertise, and keen eye for detail.
In this role, you will:
Integrate customer specifications into the design process.
Analyze architectural and other drawings for potential interferences and ensure clearances are met.
Engage in firm engineering meetings with customers and suppliers, potentially leading technical discussions.
Develop detailed mechanical installation drawings.
Prepare Bills of Material for equipment procurement.
Generate point load drawings when necessary.
Verify engineering calculations like horsepower and throughput.
Collaborate with vendors to review and ensure equipment aligns with customer specifications.
Compile installation details, including supplier drawings and manuals for field use.
Conduct site visits to confirm field conditions.
Update Project Engineers on drawing progress to maintain project schedules.
Manage and update CAD files.
Oversee the creation and revision of as-built drawings.
Occasionally design custom parts or platforms for material handling systems.
Undertake additional engineering tasks as required.
We're excited about you because:
You hold a BS in a technical discipline (ME, EE, or other relevant engineering/CAD).
You have 4-6 years of experience in the parcel industry.
You have a strong grasp of drafting and design standards.
You are skilled in AutoCAD and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
You can adeptly switch between multiple projects.
Your written communication skills are excellent.
You appreciate the importance of details in achieving the broader vision.
Your focus is on team success over individual achievements.
