The Program Manager - Decommissioning and Logistics Coordinator will play a crucial role in our data center hardware decommissioning projects. This role involves coordinating all aspects of hardware removal, from initial planning and scheduling through physical removal and final disposition. The Program Manager - Decommissioning and Logistics Coordinator will act as a liaison between our team and the client\'s business partners, ensuring smooth and efficient decommissioning operations within the client\'s data center portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the planning and execution of hardware decommissioning projects, including developing schedules, tracking progress, and managing documentation.
- Coordinate the logistics of hardware removal, including scheduling pickups, arranging transportation, and managing inventory.
- Work closely with the client\'s business partners to reserve capacity within the data centers for incoming hardware and to ensure proper space allocation for decommissioned equipment awaiting removal.
- Maintain accurate records of all decommissioning activities, inventory lists, and removal schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between our team, the client\'s business partners, and vendors.
- Chair project status meetings and provide regular updates on project status, addressing any issues that arise.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential logistical challenges or delays in the decommissioning process.
- Ensure all decommissioning activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Track and manage the inventory of decommissioned hardware, ensuring accurate records of equipment removed, stored, and disposed of.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, project administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in a data center environment is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-driven and high proficiency of time management.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Current valid driver\'s license and ability to provide personal transportation.

- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
- Physical ability to walk jobsites.
- Ability to work onsite, as required.
- Ability and willingness to work after hours, weekends, holidays, overtime as required, and being available 24x7x365.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
